We often hear that there is no place more romantic or traditional in the Upper Puster Valley. Every Wednesday evening is Tyrolean Evening while Saturdays are the time for dinner by candlelight. On request we will prepare a wicker basket with a picnic for you to enjoy amidst lush green meadows the next day or arrange a very special surprise for your loved one: a delivery of pure culinary pleasure to your room.

In our establishment, you can enjoy your meal in a variety of different spots: in the fireside lounge, the huntsman’s lounge, the dining room … All you have to do is choose your favorite place. There is plenty of room for you to delight in the treats on our à la carte menu.

With its deep blue ceiling, our dining room reflects a classic and romantic atmosphere where you cannot help but eat and drink well. Luxuriously furnished and spacious, our dining room has not only plenty of space for eating in comfort, but also boasts magnificent views. Furthermore, it is the perfect place for all kinds of celebrations – be it christenings, family get-togethers or Christmas parties. Depending on the size of your group, you are welcome to enjoy your meal either under the “blue skies” of the dining room, or in the huntsman’s lounge or fireside lounge.

A traditional atmosphere

Want to experience a traditional ambience while enjoying your meal, or the authentic atmosphere in which our region’s farmers used to eat? Then take a seat in our huntsman’s lounge! Its homey stove, wood-paneled walls, calming scent of spruce and fir, hunting trophies on the walls and pristine white tablecloths all help our traditional dishes taste especially good!

Where the fire crackles in the grate

The warming, rustic atmosphere of our small fireside lounge is the perfect place for relaxation and indulgence. The scent of wood and delicious food is in the air. Let yourself be whisked away on a journey of South Tyrolean culinary delights and quality wines.

PARLOR

A place, a space, a feeling.

The parlor radiates a coziness that makes it so much more than just a room. It is a space with a certain something. You can read the newspaper here, drink an espresso, watch the sports news on TV or enjoy a casual game of cards. How about swirling a warming glass of Rum Especial or tasting a fine drop of wine from a dusty bottle with Günther the landlord? After all, good things are hidden deep in the earth! And while you are there, Günther or his wife Heidi, the lively landlady, will tell you one tale, or if you want to listen, even more, that you’ll remember long after your stay at the Hotel Edel.Weiss.

OUR BAR

A meeting place

Many don’t have one anymore, but we still do: in our establishment, the bar is a central place to meet. People make friends and contacts here over a glass of South Tyrolean wine or a delicious sip of grappa. In the informal atmosphere, conversations between guests and local people flourish like the Edelweiss on the rock faces high in the mountains. Our waitresses are always in a good mood with a smile and a friendly word on their lips. You can relax here in the leisurely, convivial atmosphere. When the weather is nice, then the chat goes out onto the terrace with a slice of cake, a cup of coffee and an amazing view of the mountains. Wherever you meet others, one thing is certain: we will keep our bar open for everyone, because it means a lot to us.

YOUR RESTAURANT IN BRAIES

Just want to come for lunch or dinner?

At our hotel you don’t necessarily have to stay for the night. We welcome day trippers in the Dolomites too! You can take a seat in one of our fragrant lounges or the spacious dining room and take your pick of dishes from our à-la-carte menu. And after lunch, why not head for the sunny terrace to enjoy a coffee and the mountain views?
