Where is Hotel Edel.Weiss located?
Hotel Edel.Weiss is located in the idyllic Prags Valley in South Tyrol – only about 5 km from Lake Braies.
Surrounded by the stunning nature of the Dolomites, our hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes, excursions and ski days – close to the Three Peaks and many other highlights of the region.
How far is Lake Braies from the hotel?
Lake Braies is only about 5 km from Edel.Weiss and can be reached in just a few minutes by car.
How do I get to Lake Braies?
You can reach Lake Braies in several ways:
By car – parking at the lake is subject to a fee.
On foot – about a 1.5-hour scenic walk.
Or comfortably by bus, which departs directly in front of the hotel – free of charge with the Guest Pass.
Even during the summer road closure, our hotel guests receive a special access permit and may drive to the lake with their own car.
What excursion destinations are nearby?
There are many beautiful excursion destinations in the surrounding area. The Plätzwiese high plateau is especially worth seeing, with its impressive mountain scenery and breathtaking views.
Many cosy alpine huts also invite you to stop by and relax. Popular nearby destinations include Toblach, Innichen, Bruneck and the Gsies Valley. The Kronplatz as well as the hiking and skiing areas of Haunold, Helm and Rotwand also offer a wide range of activities for an active holiday in every season.
Which room categories are available?
We offer different room categories for your stay: Alpin rooms, Tyrolean rooms and Edelweiss rooms.
In addition, we also have two cosy single rooms available.
Are dogs welcome at Edel.Weiss?
On request you are free to bring your pets with you.
However, we only accommodate a limited number of dogs at the same time. Therefore, we kindly ask you to mention your four-legged companion when making the reservation. We hope you will understand that they only have access to Alpine and Tyrolean rooms.
In the room we are happy to provide a blanket and a food bowl for your four-legged friend.
In our salon, your dog may be allowed to join you for dinner. However, this needs to be notified in advance, as there are limited seats available. Access to the dining room and wellness area is not permitted.

Is there a children’s playroom?
Yes, there is a small children’s playroom with a climbing wall, LEGO play wall and chalkboard.
In summer, our younger guests can also enjoy an outdoor slide and swing.
When can I check in and by when is check-out?
Check-in is available from 2:00 pm.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to check out by 10:00 am at the latest.
What does half board include?
Half board includes breakfast and dinner.
In addition, our wellness area is available to you daily from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
What can I expect in the wellness area?
Free use of our 250 m² wellness area with Finnish sauna, plunge pool, Roman steam bath, Kneipp path, Kraxenofen and heated benches.
You can also relax in our cosy relaxation area with vitality bistro and tea station.
Is there a whirlpool?
We do not have a classic whirlpool. Instead, we offer two regeneration tubs.
These are freshly filled for each guest – first with cold water, then with warm water. The bubbling function provides soothing relaxation similar to a whirlpool and supports the body’s regeneration.
Use is subject to a fee: €10 per coin (approx. 15 minutes).
What are the cancellation conditions?
The right of withdrawal as laid down in the Consumers' Code is not contemplated pursuant to Part III, Section III, Paragraph I of Italian Legislative Decree no. 206/2005 (Consumers' Code) – however, we are willing to apply the following conditions for withdrawal:
Cancellation from 30 days before the day of arrival: the deposit will be retained
Cancellation from 15 days before the day of arrival: 40% of the agreed total price
Cancellation from 8 days before the day of arrival: 60% of the agreed total price
In case of no-show, late cancellation or earlier departure: 100% of the agreed total price
In every case the deposit will be retained, except in the event of a travel cancellation insurance being taken out and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required at the time of booking.
Your reservation is considered binding only after the deposit has been received.
How do I pay the deposit?
After your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation from us. Please click on “View offer”.
Below the room price, you will find our IBAN for bank transfer. Further down, you will also find a secure online payment system that allows you to pay conveniently by credit card.
Important: If you do not wish to take out travel cancellation insurance, please remove the check mark next to the insurance when selecting products.
If you are asked to make two transfers, this is correct: the deposit is transferred to our bank account, and the insurance payment to the insurance company’s account.
When paying by credit card, both can be paid together in a single transaction.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You can pay with cash, debit card or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Payment by cheque is also possible.
The deposit can of course be paid conveniently by bank transfer.
If you prefer to pay the remaining balance by bank transfer, we kindly ask you to do so before your arrival.
Is there a garage at the hotel?
No, the hotel does not have a garage.
However, a large free parking area is available directly in front of the hotel.
Are there charging stations for electric cars at the hotel?
Yes, we have two charging stations for electric cars.
They are available to our hotel guests for an additional fee.
How far are the ski slopes from Edel.Weiss?
The Prags ski lifts can be reached in just about 5 minutes by car.
The Gassl valley station at Kronplatz is about 15–20 minutes away.
The Three Peaks ski area (Sexten / Helm) can be reached in around 30 minutes.
How do I get to the ski slopes from Edel.Weiss?
The ski areas are most easily reached by car, which gives you the greatest flexibility.
The Prags ski area can also be reached conveniently by bus.
For Kronplatz and the Three Peaks ski area, you can take the ski train, which stops in Percha or Vierschach.
With the Guest Pass, bus and train are free of charge.
However, we recommend driving to the nearest train station by car.
Is there a ski room in the hotel?
Yes, we have a newly designed ski room with plenty of space for your equipment and comfortable boot dryers.
Where can I rent ski equipment?
At every valley station and at most lift facilities, you will find a ski rental shop directly on site.
This allows you to rent your ski equipment conveniently right there.
